VP Internal Audit – Asset Management

Our client is a major international asset management firm with a strong brand presence across Asia.  They are looking for an experienced audit professional to join the regional team.

Reporting into the Regional Head of Audit, you will be responsible for planning and executing front to back audits across the investment management, institutional, intermediary and retail functions.  Using a risk based approach, the philosophy of the team is to work with the business units to facilitate growth rather than policing the organisation.  As such you will play an active part in new business projects including product development, new fund launches and opening new branches to minimise any corporate governance issues.  This role offers a clear career path into the business after 2/3 years and is the perfect opportunity to transition from external audit to an in-house role.

To be considered for this role you will require:

• 8-12 years experience within external audit covering financial services or internal audit from an asset manager;
• a good understanding of asset/investment management products;
• an internationally recognised auditing or accounting qualification;
• the ability to manage multiple assignments, in a fast paced and dynamic environment;
• outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English is essential, with Cantonese and Mandarin an advantage.
