Andrew Skinner

Andrew graduated with a LLB (Hons) in 1987 and was admitted as a Barrister England & Wales in 1988 and a Solicitor England & Wales in 1990. He practiced law with a City law firm in London before relocating to Hong Kong in 1994 to manage Quarry Dougall (a leading UK Legal Recruitment company later acquired by TMP Worldwide, a US listed multinational).

Andrew was Managing Director of the Hong Kong office and set up the highly successful Singapore office. He drove and managed the business’s growth in Asia during this period of rapid expansion. In addition, he also launched QD Technology in Asia.  He was instrumental in the acquisition and subsequent management of this business. Following acquisition by TMP Worldwide, Andrew became Director Asia of the Legal and Banking & Financial Services divisions of TMP Executive Resourcing. 

Andrew co-founded ALS International with Anthony in 2002. He has unrivalled experience in the region recruiting in-house lawyers for major corporations as well as Partners and senior Associates for international and leading local law firms. Andrew also runs the Compliance team.

Andrew is married with 2 children and in his spare time competes in triathlons, is a keen sailor and an ex rugby player. He is also the lead singer in a rock band.

Anthony Lewis 

Anthony graduated with a BA (Hons) Economics and began his recruitment career in London in 1989. In 1995 he moved to Sydney, Australia to begin an 8 year career with Morgan & Banks (Australasia’s largest recruitment company later acquired by TMP Worldwide, a US listed multinational). 

Prior to relocating to Hong Kong with TMP Worldwide in 2001, Anthony managed the Legal and Accounting teams in Sydney and at various times managed teams covering HR, IT and Sales & Marketing functions. He was also involved in special projects in the New Zealand and Australian M&A recruitment markets under the highly acquisitive TMP Worldwide. 

Prior to setting up ALS International, Anthony was Director North Asia for TMP Executive Resourcing. In this capacity, he managed all offices and operations throughout Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Taipei and Seoul. He successfully negotiated a China joint venture and established new operations in the PRC. 

Anthony co-founded ALS International with Andrew in 2002. He has transacted board level assignments in the Commercial arena (Accounting, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, Manufacturing, Industrial & Operations and Construction/Property markets) as well as in the Financial Services sector and currently works with a defined client group, recruiting and advising on appointments in these professional sectors.

Anthony is married with one daughter and in his spare time is a dedicated yoga convert who enjoys sailing and riding motorbikes.

Pernille Storm

Pernille graduated with a Masters Degree in International Business and Modern Languages from Syddansk University in Denmark and after graduating, moved to Tokyo to begin a 10 year career in Japan, spending 5 years in Wealth Management as a Product Specialist and Assistant Portfolio Manager.

After completing an MBA in Tokyo, Pernille changed career and joined an American Search firm initially heading up the Retained Search practice and then building the Consumer and Financial Services Search practices. Pernille added the Biotech and Healthcare Practice to her responsibilities and was responsible for the Japanese operations of the 30+ people firm whilst concurrently implementing numerous senior C-Level searches across industry segments for foreign multinationals in Japan.

In 2006 Pernille was headhunted to manage the Banking Division of the largest mid to senior level recruitment firm in Singapore. In this capacity she set up a dedicated Middle and Back Office Banking recruitment business and worked directly on a number of senior business leader mandates across the Financial Services sector.

Prior to joining ALS International, Pernille worked at a small boutique Financial Services search firm implementing senior business leader and functional head searches across Wealth Management, Corporate and Investment Banking in Singapore, HK and Europe.
