Pernille Storm

Managing Director

Pernille is Managing Director of ALS Singapore and Middle East and runs the Banking & Financial Services practice.

Pernille graduated with a Masters Degree in International Business and Modern Languages from Syddansk University in Denmark and after graduating, moved to Tokyo to begin a 10 year career in Japan, spending 5 years in Wealth Management as a Product Specialist and Assistant Portfolio Manager. She then moved into Executive Search and Selection ultimately running a 30+ people office. In 2006 Pernille moved to Singapore to set up and run the Front, Middle and Back Office recruitment team for Asia's largest mid to senior level recruitment firm. She subsequently went on to run the front office team of a boutique firm prior to joining ALS. Pernille moved to Abu Dhabi in 2010 to establish the ALS business in the Middle East where she continues ALS's successful recruitment relationships with International Private Practice Law firms, Banks and Financial Services.

Pernille is specialising in legal and front office banking recruitment mandates and has successfully placed senior lawyers and business leaders across Wealth Management, Corporate and Investment Banking in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Europe in the last 10 years.

Pernille is an MBA holder and is fluent in English, Danish and German and speaks conversational Japanese.

Gwen Wong

Director - Financial Services

Gwen Wong is the Director for the Banking & Financial Services practice for Singapore, China and South East Asia for ALS International.

Gwen graduated with a BCom in Finance and Marketing from Murdoch University, Australia. She has over 12 years' experience in financial markets search and selection. Gwen joined ALS in 2007, she is renowned for senior level searches across all areas of Investment Management, Equities and Hedge Funds across Asia Pacific.

With a "total coverage" approach, Gwen deploys her extensive knowledge to deliver a quality product and act as a total solution provider. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.

Andrew M Dennan

Director - Compliance, Audit, Risk

Andrew is a Director for Compliance, Audit and Risk in Singapore. His career began 21 years ago in the financial markets with the likes of Bankers Trust New York and Deutsche Bank and from a very early stage was integrated into the world of risk and compliance after leading Bankers Trust to become the first US Bank to be approved by the Federal Reserve of New York, Security Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to offer execution services on a non-authorised futures exchange and the monitoring and reporting requirements that this involved. For the past 6 years he has been headhunting senior C.A.R roles globally and has recently relocated to Singapore. Prior to ALS, he was the RPO Account Director at Bank of America/ Merrill Lynch in charge of all non front office recruitment across Asia Pacific and whilst in the Middle East worked as the Senior Recruiter for the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority and advisor to the Abu Dhabi Governments Corporate Governance Committee.

Lisa Owens

Director - Legal

Lisa Owens is a Director for the legal practice in Singapore, specialising in the placement of lawyers from Associate to Partner level in private practice and in-house opportunities across Asia-Pacific.

Lisa is a UK qualified lawyer and has worked in legal recruitment since 1992 in London and in Singapore. She has extensive experience of recruiting international and local lawyers and has a strong network of contacts in both markets.

Kanchan Angural

Senior Consultant - Technology

Kanchan is a Senior Consultant in the Technology practice of ALS International. She has more than five years of experience in technology and recruitment covering Asia.

Kanchan has a double diploma in Information Technology and Mass Communications and began her career as a Service Delivery Manager in the IT Outsourcing industry with an IBM subsidiary. Prior to joining ALS, Kanchan was instrumental in building the Banking and Financial Services IT recruitment specialisation at a leading Global recruitment firm in Singapore.

Kanchan specialises in conducting mid to senior level searches across architecture, strategy and IT security for a diverse clientele in Asia. The clientele is mainly made up of Financial Institutions, Software & Hardware Vendors and Consulting Firms.
