Regional Head of Compliance & Risk, Asia Pacific (Hong Kong)

With a history spanning over 150 years our client has developed a loyal following serving clients across the globe. As a market leader in their field they provide information, consultancy, resources and communications for the professional and financial services sector. They have recently diversified their offerings through merger and acquisition and are now a key provider of marketing solutions and campaign products for the consumer, retail and blue chip FMCG companies. As a result of continued growth in Asia Pacific, they are looking for a high calibre executive to head their Audit, Compliance and Risk department for the region.
This is a newly created position to devise and roll out the infrastructure to identify, address and mitigate risk and adhere to ethics, compliance and regulatory rules both internally for the company and for the services provided for clients. You will report directly to the Global Head of Risk and Compliance, and work closely with the President of Asia Pacific. With a blank slate, you will review and address the current environment and roll out processes and procedures to strengthen the business operations throughout the region. You will need to work with the business heads and MDs of all business areas, advise on new initiatives and ensure the right codes of conduct, messages and controls are cascaded throughout the organization. You will also lead trainings and workshops with the business, set up investigative procedures and put in place contingency and disaster recovery plans for business continuity.
Suitable candidates must have a proven background in working in audit, compliance, risk and ethics. You will have a strong understanding of regulatory environments and be up to date with regulations surrounding bribery & corruption, AML, data protection, ethics and codes of conduct. You will need a broad industry appreciation for regulations within banks and financial services firms through to manufacturing and retail corporations. You will also have strong communication skills and the presence and gravitas to work with the senior management team in order to influence and win buy-in to new ideas and initiatives. In addition, you will have strong project management skills to juggle and organize multiple projects to address different business areas and divisions. Experience from audit and compliance within a financial services, legal or commercial corporation will be considered. Candidates should have hands-on experience of working in Asia Pacific and ideally speak some of the local languages for this region, ideally Chinese.

Quantitative Portfolio Manager (Singapore)
Our client is an international investment management firm providing premium investment products to clients globally. They are seeking a Quantitative Portfolio Manager to join their team. The position will be based in Singapore.
The role will be responsible for managing and overseeing the input decisions – quantitative and economic analyses and assist in the analysis across multi asset classes and geographical areas. The role will also be responsible for ensuring that investment performance of the funds to meet the targeted risk and return requirements.
To succeed in this role you will require the following demonstrable skills and attributes:
