Our client is a leading financial services institution with an unrivalled reputation globally and in the Asian region. Continued expansion of its businesses across Asia Pacific has created a need for a dynamic and experienced Compliance professional to assume a leadership role as its new Regional Head of Regulatory Relations to engage and lobby effectively with relevant industry groups and external regulators in the region.
You will possess at least 10-12 years+ Compliance experience with another financial services institution and/or external regulators, with experience across different countries in Asia Pacific. You must have strong knowledge of regulatory, AML and Financial Crime compliance risks and industry developments and sound practices. You will be expected to work with senior management in the region as well as at the global level to lead and establish consistent procedures to report and communicate regulatory developments across all businesses in the region.
The successful applicant must demonstrate strong communication, influencing and problem solving skills to work with different levels of management. Fluency in spoken and written English is essential, with spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin) skills being a distinct advantage.

General Counsel – Pensions / Regulatory, 4-8 PQE (Hong Kong)

Our client is a well known and highly regarded financial services company looking to appoint a General Counsel for their pensions and funds business. In this role you will provide overall legal and regulatory support to the pensions business. Responsibilities will include the review and drafting of various product documentation, investment management agreements and other related documentation in both English and Chinese. You will advise on general in house matters and will be the primary contact negotiating with third party investors and will review and approve new products and will liaise with regulators on new product approvals.
