Andrew is the co-founder and Managing Director of ALS International. Andrew is a qualified Barrister and Solicitor and runs both the Legal and Compliance teams. He has been recruiting in Asia since 1994 and has enjoyed unrivalled experience in the region recruiting lawyers at partner and associate levels for both private practice and in-house clients. Having lived in Hong Kong for over 20 years Andrew has a wide, comprehensive and established network of contacts around the Asia Pacific region.

Anthony Lewis
Co-Founder and Managing Director – Commerce and Financial Services

Commencing his recruitment career in London in 1990 in Financial Services, Anthony relocated to Sydney in 1994 to join Morgan and Banks, Australia’s premier recruitment firm. Spending 7 years in Australia, he managed Accounting and Finance, Technology and Legal recruiting teams and was seconded to New Zealand for 6 months to manage a business turnaround. Following the acquisition of Morgan and Banks by TMP, Anthony moved to Hong Kong as Regional Director, North Asia in 2000. In this capacity, he worked on the formation of a China JV and had P&L responsibility for operations spanning China, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan.

Since founding ALS in 2002, Anthony has worked with a defined client group, recruiting and advising on senior appointments across the Financial Services and Commercial sectors. Relocating to UK, he established the ALS London office in partnership with Dom Dunn, in 2022. His 30 years of recruitment and advisory experience have provided him with an informed and practical perspective of international human capital markets.

Janice Ho
Director – Commerce

Janice is Director for the Commerce practice for ALS International Hong Kong. She has 20 years’ experience at executive level recruitment across Asia Pacific, China and the UK. Janice trained as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the UK before commencing her career in recruitment with Michael Page in London, moved to Hong Kong in 1998 and set up their China business in 2003 which included Shanghai and Beijing and covering multiple disciplines.

Janice joined ALS International in 2010 and heads the Commercial business which includes Finance, Sales & Marketing, HR, IT, Supply Chain & Operations. At a personal level she continues to specialize in finance for CFOs and other C-suite level positions across multinational corporations, legal and professional services firms and financial services. Janice is a native English speaker and is conversational in both Cantonese and Mandarin.

Denise Lim
Director – Financial Services

Denise has over 15 years of successful track record in executive level recruitment covering middle to back office functions within the Banking and Financial Services industry. Denise specializes in Compliance, Risks, Finance, Audit, Product Control, Middle Office and Operations for Corporate and Investment banks, Asset Management and Hedge Funds, Retail and Private Banks, Brokerage and Securities Houses and Insurance companies.

Prior to joining the recruitment industry, Denise worked for Value Partners, HSBC Asset Management and BNP Paribas and had built a strong network of professionals within the industry. Denise majored in economics at the University of Wisconsin graduating with a BA degree. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Theresa Hall
Director – Human Resources

Theresa is Director for the Human Resources practice for ALS International Singapore and Hong Kong. She has acquired 20 years’ of experience in executive search and recruitment encompassing the Human Resources, Banking & Financial Services, Professional Services and Consumer industries in Asia Pacific. Theresa has worked on assignments across China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Australia.

Prior to joining ALS International, Theresa served tenure as Head of Asia at Frazer Jones, a global specialist recruitment firm working exclusively within the Human Resources market, and as Manager for the Human Resources and Legal Practices at Hudson Singapore. She also worked in Hudson’s Melbourne office as a Consultant engaging a diverse client portfolio of top tier banks. In addition, Theresa was also involved in co-coordinating an extensive volume recruitment programme for a national banking organisation.

Theresa’s earlier career also reflects consultancy experience within the Luxury Goods and Consumer Industries, collaboratively working with manufacturers, suppliers and retailers throughout Asia Pacific.

Kelvin Lau
Associate Director – Commerce

Kelvin has been in the recruitment industry since 2010 progressing from handling operational level vacancies to senior management level of assignments that he focuses on in the recent years. His client coverage ranges from commercial institutions, banking and financial services sector, telecommunication companies to consulting firms.

Prior to joining ALS, Kelvin worked in Robert Walters and Michael Page where he has successful track record of building teams from ground up and working on recruitment assignments at all levels from junior, mid-level to executive grade.

Claire Park

Head of In-House Legal

Claire covers both the Korean and Hong Kong legal markets and focuses on the placement of mid to senior-level legal professionals into both private practice and in-house opportunities. With a proven, outstanding track record, she is highly regarded for integrity and efficiency of service by both candidates and clients. As a bilingual in Korean and English, she demonstrates an excellent understanding of the Korean market and has a successful history of placement of Korean lawyers.

Charmaine is an Associate Director with 13 years of experience in legal recruitment.
